ARANSAS COUNTY, Texas — Since the days immediately following Hurricane Harvey, the Children's Coalition of Aransas County has worked to provide services for children and families throughout the Coastal Bend.

It began with “Camp Harvey.” The 3-week long childcare program served 52 children at no cost to the families while they waited for local childcare programs to reopen. It continues today by providing food, clothing, furniture and a host of other services to those in need.

On Thursday, the Children’s Coalition will host a Souper Supper, featuring delicious soups from area restaurants, a cash bar, a live auction and a silent auction.

The event will be held at the Rockport Yacht Club (722 Navigation Circle) from 6 p.m.-9 p.m. Admission to the Souper Supper is an unwrapped toy or a free-will donation. The proceeds will be used to buy Christmas gifts for the nearly 200 children the Children’s Coalition has served in 2019.

To learn more or to make a donation, find them on Facebook or visit their website.
