Aransas Pass police looking for domestic violence suspect

ARANSAS PASS, Tx. — Aransas Pass police officers are looking for a man who allegedly assaulted his girlfriend.

APPD police posted a link to the video on their Facebook page of the alleged assault.

The post stated, "The video was recorded this past evening just before 9 pm. The suspect in the video is Jacob Lawler, AGE 23. Police are currently seeking Lawler to arrest him for assault resulting in bodily injury. More charges may follow."

The timestamp on the video shows the incident was recorded on July 10, 2019 at 9:12 p.m.

The video starts with a female knocking on a neighbor's door. Moments later, the suspect is seen walking up the stairs, as the woman pleads with the suspect. The video shows the suspect striking the female victim, while pulling the woman's hair. The video shows the suspect then picking up the woman, while the victim pleads with the suspect not to be thrown off of a balcony.
