Homeless man found with stab wounds

CORPUS CHRISTI. TEXAS — Corpus Christi police say a man was found with stab wounds early Sunday morning.

It was just before 11 a.m. Sunday when witnesses saw a man bleeding from the stomach at a busy intersection.

Police arrived at the scene along I-37 just off of the Nueces Bay Boulevard intersection.

According to police, a man was bleeding heavily from the stomach. EMS crews arrived at the scene and transported the victim to Christus Spohn Shoreline in critical condition.

Lieutenant Chuck Freeman, with the Corpus Christi police department, said witnesses saw the man bleeding from his stomach but say they didn't see the attack.

Crime scene investigators were called out to the scene to gather evidence. There's no word on the description of the suspect.
