CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — Local foster children will have a merrier Christmas thanks to the generosity of strangers.

Court appointed special advocates, which is long for CASA, held it's the fifth annual toy drive at Sames Crow Ford.

Organizers say lots of toys were donated, including plenty of bikes.

Some toys will be handed out before Christmas and the rest of the toys will be placed in CASA's toy closet.

The best part is that these toys and bikes will be handed out year round.

Samantha Koepp-Stemplinger of the CASA Coastal Bend said, "the gift are given year round because our volunteers can come by any time of the year and pick out toys for the first time they meet their child for the birthdays. This really supplies the organization year round for the items for these children in foster care"

CASA represents children who are in the foster care system.
