CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — The bassist and lead guitarist from the rock band Metallica will be making a special appearance at the Total Wine and More this Saturday.

The whiskey they will be signing isn't just any old whiskey. Kirk Hammett and Robert Trujillo worked with master whiskey distiller Dave Pickerell on the "BLACKENED" brand whiskey. Each batch of whiskey has a special connection to Metallica's expansive musical catalog.

"Each batch of BLACKENED has a unique playlist that was used to sonically-enhance the whiskey during finishing," according to the BLACKENED website. "As the well-aged whiskey rests in the finishing barrels, the music is played to the barrel causing the whiskey inside to move and interact with the wood."

Attendees of the event, assuming they are of legal drinking age, will be expected to buy a bottle before it gets signed. Only two bottles per customer.

The address is 5425 S. Padre Island Dr. #136C & 136D, Corpus Christi, Texas 78411 and the event will last from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m.. Check out their event page for more information.

Metallica has nine Grammys, 23 Grammy nominations, and have sold over 125 million albums worldwide.
