Imagine those who are young girls now, someday taking on some of the biggest challenges and problems our planet faces, and then helping to solve them. That’s the road the Girl Scouts of Greater South Texas is opening through their upcoming Summer Mini Day Camps.

Two sessions of STEM Journey Jumpstart: Think Like an Engineer will be available in June (18-20 and 25-27).

In addition to activities that highlight learning in Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM), campers will also enjoy many traditional favorites, including songs, games, S’mores and more!

The camp takes place from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Del Mar College West Campus Emergency Training Building (4101 Old Brownsville Rd.). It is open to girls who have completed grades K-5th.

The cost is $20 for Girl Scout members who have renewed their 2019-20 membership, and $45 for non-Girl Scout members (which includes a membership through 9/30/20).

The camp fee does not include lunch, and campers will need to bring a sack lunch and reusable water bottle each day. Snacks will be provided.
