Every day, families make the decision to bring a pet into their home. For many, that decision involves Corpus Christi Animal Care Services, where they have a number of animals in need of being adopted.
Our Pet of the Week is Mya, a 2-year-old female American Staff mix who has been with CCACS since July 19th.
When Mya first arrived, she was in pretty rough shape. She had a severe sunburn and open wounds on her back. But thanks to the medical staff at CCACS, she has since fully recovered and, other than a visible scar on her back, shows no signs of whatever ill may have befallen her just a few months back. Mya is extremely playful, friendly and energetic, and listens to and obeys basic commands.
If you are interested in adopting Mya, go by 2626 Holly Road Monday through Saturday from 1:00 to 5:30 PM, or call (361) 826-4630. You are encouraged to bring your family or any current pets you have, in order to spend time with whichever animal you may be thinking of taking home.
