They will be turning back time at the American Bank Center when the Coastal Bend’s versions of Cher and Elvis take the stage at A Night in Vegas, a fundraiser to benefit Charlie’s Place Recovery Center.
On Saturday, August 18th at 6:00 PM, the ABC will play host to Las Vegas-style performances, a silent auction, casino games and dinner, as well as a spectacular show by Aerial Horizons, a company of aerial acrobats and dancers.
KRIS 6 is joining the fun as the media sponsor for this event.
Charlie’s Place is celebrating more than 50 years of providing recovery assistance from drug and alcohol addiction, and has grown to be the largest non-profit, residential treatment center south of San Antonio. In recent years, drug overdose became the number one cause of deaths in Americans under the age of 50.
Licensed to serve adults 18 and older who have a diagnosis of substance abuse or dependence, Charlie’s Place offers a peaceful and private center located on several acres of a former hotel, renovated ideally for the personal care and services provided, which include: residential detoxification; intensive residential; supportive residential; and outpatient services.
The staff of Charlie’s Place works to help clients understand their addiction, teach them how to rebuild their lives and teach them the skills needed to live a sober life.
