The Tropics are heating up and just in time, the City of Corpus Christi wants to help make sure that all of us are prepared for what may be ahead.

Hurricane Season runs now through November 30th, and last summer’s experience with Harvey has most who live in the Coastal Bend keenly aware of just how quickly things deteriorate once a storm moves into the Gulf of Mexico. Even so, there is really no excuse for not being ready should conditions ever again reach that point — especially given an event happening at the American Bank Center (1901 N. Shoreline Blvd.) Saturday, June 16th.

The 2018 Coastal Bend Storm Expo will take place from 10:00 AM until 3:00 PM. Exhibitors from across the area will be available to meet with those who drop by, providing helpful tips and offering useful supplies to ensure everyone stays ready to meet whatever challenge our South Texas weather may bring.

There is no cost for either admission or parking, and door prizes will be given away during the event.

To learn more, visit www.CoastalBendStormExpo.com. You may also use the website to sign-up for Reverse Alert notifications.

There is still space for those who are interested in becoming an exhibitor, however, the deadline to register is Wednesday, June 13th. To do so, call the city’s Communications Department at (361) 826-3211.
