It is time to pull out the pocket change and get ready to take part in the Coastal Bend’s 6th Lemonade Day!
The annual event is presented by the Coastal Bend Home Builders Association Parade of Homes and organized by the United Corpus Christi Chamber of Commerce Foundation.
On Saturday, May 12th, young entrepreneurs will set up lemonade stands all across the area, carrying out the lessons learned from a workbook they receive when they register. The guide includes ideas on how to create a budget, find an investor, advertise their stand, make healthy lemonade, provide customer service, give back to the community and more! Along the way, participants acquire skills in goal-setting, problem-solving, entrepreneurship and financial literacy.
It all comes to life when participants set up their stand and open for business. Each child keeps all revenue earned from their business, and each is encouraged to save a little, spend a little, and give a little back to the community.
Registration and Sponsorship information is available on the Lemonade Day WEBSITE.
Everyone is encouraged to participate by stopping and buying lemonade from one (or even several) of the stands on May 12th.
Hours of operation will vary with each stand. Locations and additional information may be found HERE.
Also, remember to share your Lemonade Day Coastal Bend photos with the following hashtag: #SixSweetYears.
