SINTON — KRIS 6 News has obtained arrest affidavits related to last week's shooting that killed 16-year-old Gavin McFarland and injured his dad, John McFarland.

Those statements were provided by the people in the truck involved in that deadly road rage incident.

In fact, one of these documents contains the statement one of the suspects gave to investigators.

We’re talking about Henry Roland Gonzales Jr. He’s charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon

In his statement, Gonzales told investigators he witnessed Carlos Gabriel Chumacero fire at Gavin and John McFarland.

Gonzales also gave investigators a video of Chumacero reportedly admitting to shooting the McFarlands.

Gonzales' girlfriend also gave a statement and she told investigators that her boyfriend was in the front passenger seat of the truck that cut off the McFarlands.

She said when the truck pulled over, she ran to her house.

That corroborates the statement John McFarland gave investigators.

He described seeing someone exit the back seat and run to a house.

But then McFarland says the front seat passenger exited and fired a handgun, hitting him twice in the legs.

The driver of the truck also gave a statement.

He said he was involved in the fight with the McFarlands but he didn't see who shot them.

He told investigators Chumacero later told him he had fired the weapon.

Carlos Gabriel Chumacero is charged with murder and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.

He's in the San Patricio County Jail on a bond of $600,000.
