    UIL adds instant replay to High School Football State Championships

    The University Interscholastic League will use instant replay at all UIL Football State Championship games beginning in 2018.  According to the UIL, Texas High School Football follows NCAA rules, and each year the UIL reviews exceptions to NCAA football rules through the UIL Football Rules Committee. The UIL says they will begin using the NCAA rules for instant replay with two exceptions: There will be no coaches’ challenges. All reviews will be initiated by the replay...

    KRIS Communications announced Tuesday they would again televise select high school football games next fall. It all starts with the "KRIS 6 Kickoff Classic" August 30th when Carroll plays host to Gregory-Portland at Buc Stadium. "We are really excited to have this game on TV," said GP head coach Rick Rhoades. "I know our kids will be pumped and it should be a great game."
