CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — This weekend's attack on the world's biggest oil production facility in Saudi Arabia is causing global tensions.

President Trump met with his national security team this morning after saying over the weekend that the U.S. was locked and loaded to respond.

Iranian-backed rebels in Yemen have claimed responsibility but Secretary of State Mike Pompeo says there's no evidence to support that.

Today, Energy Secretary Rick Perry made it clear who the U.S. blames.

“The United States wholeheartedly condemns Iran's attack on the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia," Perry said.

Analysts expect gas prices to rise 25 cents a gallon in the coming weeks.

President Trump says he'll release oil reserves if needed to keep supply flowing at home.

Gas prices have been holding steady in Corpus Christi.

According to the Triple-A, last week the average price for a gallon of regular unleaded was $2.20.

Today, it’s just once cent higher at $2.21.

The statewide average is $2.26, which is a cent less than last week.
