A vigorous upper level and surface low pressure system is causing big winds (Gusts near 50 mph) in the Coastal Bend along with much colder temperatures (especially compared to the 79 degree high we had early Thursday afternoon.) Surface high pressure will slowly build into the area resulting in a gradual decrease in our winds on Friday and then returning to very light winds the entire weekend and early next week. Expect cold nights but sunny pleasant days through next Tuesday.

Tonight will be very windy clear and colder with a low of 44 but a wind chill in the 30’s.

Friday will still be windy but decreasing throughout the day sunny and much cooler with a high only near 60.

Friday night will be much calmer and cold with a low of 39.

Saturday will be gorgeous with sunny skies light winds and a high of 68.

Sunny and 70 on Sunday.
