CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — Fireworks are believed to have started this huge brush fire on the island last night.

If you were out in that area around 8 p.m.,you couldn't miss it.

The flames lit up the night sky.

It happened in the area of Bob Hall Pier -- just off Park Road 22 near Access Road 6.

It took crews from four area fire departments three hours to put this fire out.

At least three acres of brush went up in flames.

There's no word yet on how many acres were burned.
