They say a picture is worth a thousand words, and the Art Museum of South Texas is turning pictures into 3D images, all to honor veterans and active duty service members.
“We have a 3D image presentation that shows pictures of local military members,” said Kirby Tello.
“We're asking the community to send in photos of either themselves or their family members who have served the country or who are actively serving the country,” said Tello.”And when they submit the photos to us then we will change it into a 3D image.
The program is called ‘Service Saturday’ and it's an appreciation program throughout the month, admission into the museum will be free on Saturdays to service members and their families.
“We feel like sometimes they're under recognized and so this is a great way to showcase them and have them feel excited when they come to the museum and have them see pictures of themselves or past family members,” said Tello.
Whataburger has provided the 3D glasses for museum-goers to enjoy the 3D experience.
Which will be up every Saturday in November.
“We wanted to figure out a way to give back to the community and include the community,” said Tello.
