For some of the many local families who currently do not have health insurance, Saturday’s free Community Health Fair may turn out to be a must-attend event!
The Antonio E. Garcia Arts & Education Center (20121 Agnes Street) is part of the College of Education and Human Development at Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi, and is hosting the event from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Those who show up will find multiple health information resources for family members of every age.
Blood pressure and blood glucose testing will performed by TAMU-CC student nurses. In addition, there will be opportunities for diabetes screenings — appropriate, as November in National Diabetes Month.
Children who attend the Health Fair will enjoy the snacks, games, dancing and face paiting. There will also be several bike giveaways!
