CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — Put some miles on that brand new ugly Christmas sweater. We have compiled a list of local "Ugly Sweater" events from around the Coastal Bend. Most of them have some sort of ugly sweater contest so you could win some cash.
FRIDAY
You might actually break a sweat at this unique ugly sweater event.
The Ugly Sweater 5K is this Friday, Dec. 20 at 3 pm.
It will be just like a regular 5K run with the additional holiday twist.
"Dress up in your ugliest Christmas sweater to win a prize," their event page says.
There will be prizes for the top 3 ugly sweaters, and a special prize for the kids category.
The cost is free and the race begins at the Protestant Chapel Parking Lot.

The "Drink Until You're Pretty the Ugly Sweater Christmas Party"
A local brewery is celebrating the Ugly Christmas sweater this weekend.
Lorelei Brewing Company and Jaycob's Delicious Fishes and Other Dishes have teamed up to offer a one of a kind ugly sweater party.
The "Drink Until You're Pretty: Ugly Sweater Christmas Party," is this Friday at 520 Nas Dr, Corpus Christi, Texas 78418.
The shindig starts at 3 p.m. and runs till 10 p.m..
"Come into the tap room wearing an ugly sweater and you will receive a beer token. (Redeemable the next day.)" their event page says.
The brewery will also be serving free hot chocolate from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m..

The 2nd Annual Ugly Sweater Party hosted by Miss Elly's
Miss Elly's is offering a liquor gift basket to the person with the ugliest sweater.
"Time to get your ugly sweaters out of storage for our annual ugly sweater party," their event page says.
Miss Elly's second annual Ugly Sweater Party is this Friday, 3809 Saturn Rd., Corpus Christi, Texas 78413.
The party starts at 7 p.m. and ends at 2 a.m..

The Cheers to Four Years Ugly Sweater Party
A local brewery is turning 4 years old and celebrating with ugly sweaters.
The party starts at 5 p.m. and goes till 11:30 p.m. at 425 William St, Corpus Christi, Texas 78401.
"Get your tacky sweaters ready," their event page says, "the uglier the better!"
The winner of the Ugly Sweater Contest will receive a 2020 Mug Club Membership. The contest starts at 9 p.m..
Beers will be $4 all night and Jimmy E's Mobile Bistrowill take care of your tummy.

A local business in Flour Bluff is hosting an ugly sweater party this Saturday,
