Posted 2:12 PM 1/29/2013 : Tire Fire Creates Smoke That Can Be Seen For Miles

CORPUS CHRISTI - A fire this afternoon, at Port and Baldwin, could be seen for miles.

It started just after the lunch hour at a tire shop. Emergency crews are still at the scene battling the blaze. It appears that a pile of tires is burning, along with some brush and grass in a nearby lot.
