CORPUS CHIRSTI - Joshua Atwood was sentenced to 25 years in prison for a beating that resulted in his own father's death. He was convicted on Thursday for the lesser charge of manslaughter while on trial for capital murder.

The father, Todd Atwood, suffered brain injuries, fell into a coma
