CORPUS CHRISTI - AEP crews are working to replace a utility pole knocked out of place in a crash along Comanche at Bluntzer around 3:15 this afternoon.

Police say the driver somehow lost control of the Dodge Ram, nailing the pole and a telephone junction box head-on.

Truck Snags Overhead Lines on SPID Access Road

CORPUS CHRISTI - Traffic is being diverted down to one lane on the eastbound access road of S.P.I.D. near Kostoryz Lane.

An 18-wheeler making a delivery in the area snagged some overhead utility lines and brought down the pole.

Employees with AEP and local utilities are in the area working to get everything back in order.

There are no reported power outages as a result of the mishap.

CORPUS CHRISTI - The driver of a Chevy 2500 HD was taken to the hospital this morning following a rollover crash at N.P.I.D. at Agnes. Police say the driver of a small car came back to the scene to admit they clipped the truck while changing lanes.

CORPUS CHRISTI - Police are blocking off Interstate 37 at Port Avenue for an 18-wheeler that went over the median and took out an overhead sign. A pickup truck collided with the rear-end of the large truck.

Rollover Crash at Highway 77 and CR 4

CORPUS CHRISTI - Emergency crews are on the scene of another major accident near Bishop. Around 9 p.m tonight a Ford F-150 went off the road and rolled over in a field atHighway 77 near County Road 4.

Authorities shut down the northbound lanes to allow Halo Flight to land twice for passengers in the truck.

The driver was not injured in the crash. There's no word on the severity of injuries for the passengers, although one was thrown from the truck in the crash.

Watch Your Speed on Slick Roads While Heading Home

Southbound I-37 Access Road Near Violet Closed for Oil Slick

CORPUS CHRISTI - Police officers have blocked off the southbound Interstate 37 access road near Violet for an oil slick that's causing cars to spin out.

The slick is right before the traffic light for Violet. Firefighters are being called out with an absorbent to soak up the oil.
