BEN BOLT - One person is dead and another in the hospital after an overnight car crash near Ben Bolt. State troopers tell us a tire blew out on a Toyota Tundra which caused it to overturn on Highway 281.
The driver, Hector Torres, 28, is currently stable at Christus Spohn Hospital in Alice. His passenger, Monica Velasquez, 32, died at the scene. Authorities say both were wearing their seatbelts.

CORPUS CHRISTI - A couple of brand new vehicles were totaled today when an 18-wheeler's trailer overturned on the ramp leading up to the Harbor Bridge.

CORPUS CHRISTI - Traffic is reduced to one lane on Highway 181 leading to the Harbor Bridge headed towards Portland. A flatbed truck carrying two cars has flipped over.
Police are blocking off an on-ramp from downtown as wreckers arrive at the scene.
Traffic is still moving on the bridge in both directions.

CORPUS CHRISTI - A driver who does not have a license or insurance was given several tickets this afternoon for snapping a power pole in half.
The driver went off the road and almost into someone's backyard in the crash.

CORPUS CHRISTI - Speed and high wind gusts are blamed for a rollover crash on FM 624 about a mile east of Bluntzer. The oil field services pickup hauling a trailer was passing another car when a gust of wind pushed the truck off the road where it flipped over.

CORPUS CHRISTI - Traffic is still being diverted away from I-37 at the Tancahua overpass due to an overturned propane tanker. The truck crashed just after making the curve from Highway 181 to I-37. Fortunately there was no leak of the tanker's contents.

CORPUS CHRISTI - All traffic along I-37 and Highway 181 is being diverted due to a tanker truck that rolled over near the Tancahua overpass.
The tanker is carrying a full load of propane, but there is no leak. The truck is upright while the trailer is on its side.

SINTON - The driver of a flatbed truck and a John Deere tractor were taken to the hospital this afternoon following a crash on Highway 181.
Police say the driver of the truck rear-ended the slow moving tractor with tilling attachments just about 2 miles northwest of Sinton.

BEEVILLE - The Texas Department of Transportation has closed U.S. Highway 59 west of Beeville as crews work to repair a ruptured gas line.
The area is between FM 351 and FM 673. The stretch of highway will remain closed for about 5 hours due to a digger truck that hit the 2.5 inch gas line.
Officials say the immediate area has been evacuated and power is out in the area.
