DPS investigators are investigating an 18-wheeler crash that killed two people.

The crash happened Saturday night, March 10, at approximately 10:22 p.m. on US 77, about two miles south of Refugio in Refugio County.

According to DPS Troopers, a 2007 Freightliner truck tractor semi-trailer was traveling north on U.S. 77 in the right lane and was attempting to make a left turn in the crossover to go south on U.S. 77.

Investigators said a 2007 Honda motorcycle and a 2014 Harley Davison motorcycle, both occupied by drivers only, were traveling north on U.S. 77 in the left lane.

Both drivers of the motorcycles struck the trailer of the Freightliner in the left lane on U.S. 77 according to DPS Troopers.

Troopers say the driver of the Freightliner did not stop and continued to travel south on U.S. 77, before being stopped in Woodsboro, TX.

The crash killed 44-year-old Glenn Dewayne Bray and 50-year-old Christine Diane Thames.

Both were residents from Victoria, Texas.

The driver of the Freightliner was not injured and was arrested for fleeing the scene of a crash.

DPS Troopers say the fatal crash is still under investigation at this time.

This is a developing news story, and we will update this news article when DPS investigators release more information.
