Companies change logos for International Women's Day

Posted: Updated:

A McDonalds franchise in Lynwood, California is honoring International Women's Day in an eye-catching way.

The restaurant has flipped its iconic golden arches upside down to make a "W."

International Women's Day is celebrated on March 8th.

There are about a hundred other McDonald's restaurants around the country that will sport flipped arches Thursday. All of them are owned by female operators.

The upside-down logo will also be seen on packaging, crew shirts, and hats.

Another company temporarily changing their logo is Brawney. Brawney launched a "She-ro" campaign highlighting female heroes. They are using the hashtag #StrengthHasNoGender.

Johnnie Walker Black Label Whisky is debuting a female version of the logo... calling her "Jane Walker."
