A local pharmacy was evacuated this morning after a man went in the store making verbal bomb threats.

Officers with the Corpus Christi Police Department said employees and customers were evacuated from the CVS on Alameda and Glazebrook just after 9 a.m.

The suspect remained in the store making threats. Officers say he never showed a weapon or gave any indication that the threat was legitimate, but they responded fully out of an abundance of caution.

The man was taken into custody just before 9:55 a.m. Officers then performed a safety sweep of the store.

This is a developing story, check back soon for updates.
