Although not all of the strays who come into Corpus Christi Animal Care Services can be saved, many of them are able to find new homes with new families. We are hoping that will be the case for our Pet of the Week.

Duchess is just over 4 years of age. This Lab mix began her life with CCACS and was, in fact, microchipped. However, when Animal Control officers went to contact her family this time around, they discovered that the information associated with the microchip had not been updated. Since no one has come into to claim her, she is now available for adoption.

The best scenario would be to either have her owner see her here and claim her, or have another family step up before the weekend and give this extremely friendly and loving girl a new home.

To learn more about adopting any of the animals at the 2626 Holly Road facility, just drop by any Monday through Saturday from 1:00 to 5:30 PM. You are welcome to bring your children or any current pets you have, in order to spend time with any animal you may be thinking of adopting.

Want to know more? Call (361) 826-4630 and be sure to visit the CCACS Facebook page: www.facebook.com/corpuschristianimalcareservices.
