Ray HS in lockdown after report of possible threat

Posted: Updated:

UPDATE: The lockdown at Ray High School has been lifted.

According to CCISD Communications Director, Leanne Winkler-Libby, the lockdown was lifted at 12:21 p.m. after CCISD Police investigated and determined the school to be safe from threat.

A threat at Ray High School has prompted a lockdown at the school's campus.

CCISD Police Chief Kirby Warnke say the precautionary lockdown was put in place due to an unsubstantiated threat at the school.

According to Warnke, a student made a report of a possible threat, and CCISD PD is investigating.

Ray High School Principal Cissy Reynolds-Perez says the school takes all reports seriously.

This is a developing story and more information will be provided as it becomes available.
