Robstown town hall sets stage for school safety discussion

The city of Robstown and Robstown ISD are inviting the public to attend a town hall meeting this week to talk about school safety.

The meeting, scheduled to be held Thursday, March 8 from 7-8 p.m. at the Hattie Main Building at 701 North First Street in Robstown, will include panelists Mayor Mandy Barrera, School Superintendent Dr. Maria Vidaurri and Police Chief Erasmo Flores.

According to the city the meeting’s topic of discussion will be:

Together we are prioritizing the safety of our students at Robstown ISD campuses and facilities.

Robstown High School was recently placed on lockdown after a misunderstanding about a telephone conversation raised fears of a possible threat against the school.
