Disaster Recovery Center relocates, changes hours

Posted: Updated:

A State of Texas/Federal Disaster Recovery Center (DRC) in Nueces County is relocating less than two miles away.

The center closes at the La Palmera Mall parking lot.

A new DRC will open Thursday, March 1 at 9 a.m. in the city of Corpus Christi at the Old Mattress Store, 4124 S. Staples Street.

Hours will be Monday-Friday, from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturdays from 9.a.m. to 1 p.m.

Disaster recovery centers offer in-person support to individuals and businesses in counties included in the Texas federal disaster declaration for Hurricane Harvey. Recovery specialists from the State of Texas, the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA), the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) and other agencies will be at the new DRC.
