Looking to add a pet to your family? If so, then this is a great time to check with the people at Corpus Christi Animal Care Services.

Due to recent circumstances which called for intervention from CCACS, the kennels are now at capacity and they are looking for permanent homes for the animals they care for, including our featured Pet of the Week.

Millie is about 5-years of age and appears to be a mix of Rat Terrier and Beagle, although it is really anyone's guess. She was part of a group of 80-plus animals who were taken from a single home. While many of those are still a bit skiddish around people, Millie is a loving and smart animal and already does well on a leash. She is ready for a walk around the neighborhood!

To learn how to adopt any of the animals at the 2626 Holly Road facility, just drop by any Monday through Saturday from 1:00 to 5:30 PM. You are welcome to bring your children or any current pets you have, in order to spend time with any animal you may be thinking of adopting. Then, if you happen to connect with a pet you would like to take home, simply fill out an application.

Please note than CCACS will be closed on Thursday, February 22nd for staff training and facility maintenance.
