The Lunar New Year is here and that means celebration for many cultures throughout the world, including right here in Corpus Christi.
In honor of the start of the lunar year, organizers held the annual Taste of Asia event over at the Asian Cultures Museum.
There, local restaurants donated a variety of delicious dishes for folks to try, including food from China, Vietnam, The Philippines, India, Korea, Japan and the Middle East.
If you missed out, however, organizers remind that culture is always on display the Asian Cultures Museum, where you can get up close and personal with a bit of history.
"It's not just a museum where you look at things and don't touch," explained Julie Galbraith, Board President with Texas State Museum of Asian Cultures. "We'll have items that the kids can experience and touch. We'll have musical instruments they can play. Things they can color that represent the different cultures. games. Cultural clothing that they can dress up in."
The museum is located right across from American Bank Center on North Chaparral Street.
