Several churches are holding fish fires this Ash Wednesday.

On Wednesday, members of Christ the King Catholic Church at 3423 Rojo Street are selling fried fish plates with shrimp, fries, cole slaw and a cold drink.

They'll be serving those fish platters until 8:30 p.m.

They will also have fish fry dinners every Friday during Lent except Good Friday.  They will be held from 4:30 pm to 7:30 p.m. Tickets for the fried fish platters will be $8 pre-sale and $9 at the door.

All proceeds will benefit the church's youth group.
