CORPUS CHRISTI -

Corpus Christi police officers surround a neighborhood after a man, who had a couple of warrants out for his arrests, runs away from an apartment.

The incident happened Sunday afternoon around 5:00 p.m. in the 4300 block of Carroll Lane near Harris Drive. According to Senior Officer Travis Pace, with the Corpus Christi Police Department, officers were told where to find 28-year-old Rocke Sheldon, who had a couple of warrants out for his arrest.

When CCPD officers were talking to a female at an apartment, Officer Pace says Sheldon jumped out of a window and led police officers on a foot chase.

Officers lost sight of Sheldon in the 3200 block of Harris Drive, and additional officers shut down intersections around the neighborhood to find Sheldon.

After a methodical search, Officer Pace says Sheldon was found hiding inside of a blue recyclable bin. He was taken into custody and charged with evading arrest.

Investigators added Sheldon had warrants for revoking probation for deadly conduct and possession of a controlled substance. He had an additional warrant out of Bexar County.
