All for a good cause, dozens of Coastal Bend residents took part in the Great Strides Walk to raise awareness of cystic fibrosis.
It happened over at Cole Park in Corpus Christi, where locals living with the disease, family members and supporters joined for the cause. The annual walk is hosted by Driscoll Children's Hospital and benefits the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
Cystic Fibrosis is a progressive genetic disease that causes persistent lung infections and over time limits a person's ability to breathe. For more information on how you can help those with the disease, visit the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation's website here.
The walk had originally been scheduled for last September but was postponed due to Hurricane Harvey.
