(KFDX) - Two Texas elementary school principals are charged with failing to report cases of abuse to law enforcement.
Kory Fancher Dorman, the principal of Crockett Elementary, is accused of not reporting an incident involving a first grader.
Cindy Underwood, the principal at Haynes Northwest Academy, was also charged with the same class a misdemeanor.
An affidavit alleges that in October of last year, a teacher told Underwood that she found photographs on an I-pad assigned to one of the students of three 6-year-old male students engaging in sexual acts in a classroom.
Under Texas law, a professional with the responsibility to report possible abuse or neglect must report it within 48 hours and may not delegate it to another person.
Both Underwood and Dorman are on administrative leave as the school district continues its own internal investigation.
