Agents with the U.S. Custom and Border Protection say they discovered one and a half ton of marijuana over the weekend.
The discovery was made at the Pharr International Bridge cargo facility Saturday.
Agents say a blue 1998 tractor-trailer was hauling a shipment of mixed vegetables when a secondary search by a CBP officer and his drug-sniffing dog led to the discovery of the drugs.
Officers say they found 1,304 packages of drugs totaling 3,086 pounds of marijuana.
Agents say the drugs had a value of $617,288. The case remains under investigation by Homeland Security.
