Investigators with the Corpus Christi Police Department have announced they are assisting the Robstown Police Department after investigators found two bodies in between Robstown and Calallen.
The bodies were discovered in a field after first responders put out a fire near an area along County Road 44 near County Road 69.
Gena Pena, with the Corpus Christi Police Department, says CCPD investigators are still in the early stages of the investigation.
On Saturday, Robstown Detectives said the Texas Rangers were investigating the gruesome discovery. On Monday afternoon, CCPD investigators said the bodies have yet to be identified.
Investigators say they will release more information about the case this Tuesday.
