Two juveniles lead police on a brief chase

Posted: Updated:
CORPUS CHRISTI -

Two male teenagers are facing serious charges after police say they stole an SUV and then led them on a brief chase.

The SUV was stolen a couple of days ago, but police spotted the vehicle at a convenience store in the 4500 block of Gollihar Road around 1:15 p.m. Saturday afternoon.

Lt. Javier Cantu, with the Corpus Christi Police Department, says the two juvenile males fled from police officers, and as they turned on Odem Drive, the driver of the stolen SUV lost control, and the vehicle crashed into a fence.

The two juveniles did not suffer any injuries, and they were arrested.

Lt. Cantu says the two young men will be charged with unauthorized use of a motor vehicle.
