Authorities are making security a top priority at Super Bowl 52. Fans attending the NFL Championship in Minneapolis can expect to see massive security measures around the city. At the Super Bowl Live Fan Festival, passerbys saw increased police patrols, bomb-sniffing dogs, and officers in tactical gear. Helicopters will monitor overhead and high resolution security cameras have been set up around the city. Chain-link fencing and concrete barriers will surround U.S. Bank Stadium on game day. NFL security personnel say 17-hundred federal officials will support the more than 60 state and local law enforcement agencies. They say a 10-thousand person volunteer force has been trained to spot suspicious activity. They also say this will be the first time remote satellite and off-site security checkpoints will used -- meaning fans can get screened at Mall of America before taking the light rail to the stadium. Super Bowl 52 kicks off inside U.S. Bank Stadium at 5:30 P.M. on Sunday, and you can watch all of the action right here on KRIS 6.
