CORPUS CHRISTI -

Our Corpus Christi Animal Care Services Pet of the Week is a shy guy who we believe is ready to blossom into a social butterfly!

Branch is a somewhat timid 2-year-old Chihuahua mix with a beautifully-colored coat. He was brought to CCACS, where he has been for about two weeks.

Branch is often overlooked because he does not try to grab the attention of potential pet owners who stop by the facility the way many of the other animals do. And yet, he has demonstrated that he has a very loving demeanor and warm personality, and will show it with anyone who is willing to take the time to nurture the relationship.

As is the case with many of the strays from this area who are brought into the CCACS facility, Branch is heartworm-positive. It is a condition that is easily treatable, and whoever chooses to adopt him will be given the guidance they need to keep him healthy. In some cases, financial assistance may also be provided in order to help his new owner with the cost of medication.

To learn how to adopt any of the animals at the 2626 Holly Road facility, just drop by any Monday through Saturday from 1:00 to 5:30 PM. You are welcome to bring your children or any current pets you have, in order to spend time with any animal you may be thinking of adopting. Then, if you happen to connect with a pet you would like to take home, simply fill out an application.
