The Corpus Christi Independent School District is continuing its effort to provide high-quality support for students and their families by offering a free community seminar, "Exploring Misconceptions of Suicide and Grief."
Presented by Dr. Alan D. Wolfelt, this seminar is open to students, parents, teachers, district administration and community members, and is billed as an evening of hope and healing.
According to organizers, Dr. Wolfelt is a respected author and educator, and one of America's leading grief counselors. He founded the Center for Loss in Fort Collins, Colorado, more than 25 years ago in order to offer education and support to the grieving, as well as to bereavement caregivers.
The event will take place Tuesday, February 6th from 6:30 to 8:30 PM in the Henry Garrett Ballroom at the American Bank Center (1901 N. Shoreline Blvd. in Corpus Christi). Many of Dr. Wolfelt's bestselling books and other resources on grief will be available.
