Sunny weather came just in time for local boaters as the second annual Boat Show and Expo over in Flour Bluff.
The event was hosted by the Hooks Bait Junior Anglers Association, which hosts tournaments to raise money for scholarships for local youth.
Last year the group gave out $82,000 in scholarships and organizers said this year's expo has put them well on their way to making a difference in kids lives once again, in 2018.
"The kids touch my heart, okay. I've got a personal relationship with every one of them. And they are very thrilled and appreciative of the support that they get from all of our local dealers. All of our local community. Because it makes it happen. Because without them we couldn't give out these scholarships," Geoff Austin, an organizer with the event, explained.
The expo featured a plethora of boats, jet skis, vendors and food trucks, but if you didn't make it out Saturday, the event runs from noon to 5PM on Sunday at the Flour Bluff Marina.
