CORPUS CHRISTI -

A store employee suffered a terrifying experience after he was reportedly found tied up inside his convenience store after it was robbed.

Corpus Christi Police Department responded to the 1700 block of Van Loan Avenue to reports of an armed robbery.

Police said that when they arrived, they found a store employee tied up inside. Investigators were told the robbery happened earlier Friday morning when four black men wearing masks allegedly wrestled with the employee before pistol whipping him in the head.

The employee was then tied up in the store while suspects got away with cash and jewelry.

CCPD said they are currently searching for four suspects in the case.
