Corpus Christi Police say a man involved in a home invasion shooting on Longview Drive last night is now in custody.
A CCPD SWAT unit, acting on information from the CCPD gang unit, went to an apartment complex on Carroll Lane, where they believed the man had locked himself in an apartment.
While there, one of the man’s family members approached officers and said they had the man on the phone. Hostage negotiators spoke with the man, who was not at the apartment, but agreed to surrender to police.
Police say they located the man near Leopard Street and Palm Drive, where he was taken into custody without incident.
A post on CCPD's Blotter page identified the suspect as 26-year-old Jesus Guerra, adding that he would be booked on charges of Aggravated Robbery with a $500,000 bond.
No information on the location of a third person wanted in connection to the shooting was available.
This is a developing news story and more information will be reported as it becomes available. Update: New information regarding a suspect in custody has been added.
