Police say an icy patch of the I-10 westbound access road at the De Zavala exit caused four accidents on Wednesday morning.
At least eight cars were involved, but no one hurt.
Several cars and trucks were spinning out on the icy roadway.
A crew with the Texas Department of Transportation later arrived to de-ice the roadway, but not until several vehicles lost control on the icy patch.
It is believed the ice was caused by a nearby business sprinkler system.
