Christmas morning accident sends three to hospital
A traffic accident at County Road 48 and Interstate 69 sent three people to the hospital this morning.
According to a State Highway Patrol Trooper at the scene, a blue sedan traveling west on CR 48 stopped at a stop sign, but failed to yield the right of way to a black sedan headed south on I-69.
One passenger in the blue car was transported to Northwest Hospital in Calallen. The driver and a small child, who was also in the car, received only minor injuries and were treated at the scene, according to DPS.
Two men in the black sedan were transported to Spohn Shoreline with unknown injuries.
The driver of the blue sedan was ticketed for failure to yield after a stop sign.
