Guest Conductor with local ties to lead CCSO holiday concert

Posted: Updated:

Get ready to sing along with many of your holiday favorites Saturday, as the Corpus Christi Symphony Orchestra comes Home for the Holidays.

This year's performance of the traditional crowd-pleaser will take place December 9th at 7:30 PM at the Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi Performing Arts Center (6300 Ocean Drive). Guest Conductor Paul Haas will once again be leading the effort.

Maestro Haas is no stranger to Corpus Christi. Locally, Haas Middle School is named after his grandfather, oilman and longtime education advocate Paul R. Haas.

In addition to hearing the music of the CCSO, those who attend this concert will also be treated to the voices of members of the Del Mar Master Chorus and Corpus Christi Chorale.

Of course, anyone who has ever taken in a CCSO holiday concert knows to expect a few surprises, including a visit with Santa.

Pre-concert entertainment featuring live music, a cash bar and light snacks will be available in the lobby beginning at 6:15 PM.

Tickets may be purchased by calling 883-6683 or by visiting www.ccsymphony.org.
