Corpus Christi's popular holiday event features an entire neighborhood of sparkling Christmas lights, food, visits from Santa and much more.
This all happens annually on the south side of town near the Corpus Christi Country Club on several streets including Killarmet Drive, McAlpin Drive, Donegal Drive, Woolridge Drive and Gayle Drive.
Collectively, the event is known as Candy Cane Lane of Corpus Christi, but it actually involves several streets with each carrying out a specific theme.
Organizers say they got off to a slow start this year due to Hurricane Harvey but the colorful lights and Christmas displays will be up until Dec. 31.
"Like many in our beautiful city, we have much to be thankful for," organizers posted to their Facebook page. "With that said, it gives us great joy to share this time... the most wonderful time of year with you!"
There are many events to look forward to when planning a trip down Candy Cane Lane, including:
Dec. 9 - Music Night Dec. 12 - Jingle Bell Bicycle Parade, 6:30 p.m. Dec. 16 - CCL Neighborhood Celebration, 6 p.m. - 9 p.m. Every night until Dec. 23 - Santa and Friends! (weather permitting)
