Border Patrol Agents seize more than $1M in narcotics
U.S. Border Patrol agents in Falfurrias seized more than $1M worth of narcotics in two separate incidents recently.
On November 22, one person was arrested when agents at the Falfurrias checkpoint discovered approximately 30 pounds of cocaine worth an estimated $950,000 after a K9 unit alerted agents to the vehicle.
On November 29, another man was arrested when agents boarded a commercial bus to conduct an immigration inspection. During the inspection, they discovered a passenger attempting to smuggle five pounds of methamphetamine worth $162,000 strapped to his body.
Both subjects are facing drug smuggling charges.
