The holiday season is often a difficult time for those who have been impacted in some way by violent crime. For two decades now, the annual Tree of Angels gathering in Nueces County has provided a way for those families -- and others -- to remember, include and support victims of crime.
The Coalition for Crime Victims' Right invites everyone to take part in the 20th Annual Tree of Angels. Family, friends and survivors are invited to bring an angel or an ornament to hang on the special tree as a way of honoring crime victims.
The event will take place Wednesday, December 6th at 5:30 PM at the Nueces County Courthouse (901 Leopard Street on the Lipan side entrance). Those who are planning to attend are asked to gather in the first floor Central Jury Room.
Refreshments will be served.
